Indiana is full of Limestone. Some of this limestone known as Oolitic Limestone can be found in southern Indiana.
Limestone with Fossils
Limestone is a great rock to hold keys to the past such as fossils. As you can see in the picture, limestone can be made up of many different fossils. This helps us determine the age of the rock and the age of the fossils.
Conglomerate
A very basic form of Sedimentary rock is the conglomerate. It's made when different sediments are fused together with a some pressure.
