C.H.S. WRESTLING
"WRESTLING...TRAINING FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!"
Head Coach: Mike Thompson
Assistant Coaches: Brian Peyton, David Thompson
Wrestling prepares a wrestler to fight the game of life. He is the one athlete who must meet his opponent and do battle completely on his own; no one can substitute; no time outs are possible. He has no one to blame for his mistakes. When he wins he must show quiet pride and modesty; when he loses, the responsibility is his. Wrestling is a tough sport! In other sports, when contact is made they blow the whistle to stop the action; in wrestling when contact is made we're just getting started. No sport requires more sacrifice than wrestling. The individual, through self-denial, offers more to his character than can ever be explained. It is something he carries with him throughout life, and through every trial, test, and tribulation. Wrestling demands independence of thought and action, encourages self-confidence and self-restraint. Wrestling contributes to the development of a well rounded personality, and increases one's capacity for an active and abundant life......"I'm glad I'm a wrestler!" (Wrestling USA Magazine, Sept. 2005)
IF HARD WORK AND IMPROVEMENT ARE YOUR GOAL, VICTORY WILL HAPPEN ALONG THE WAY.

"...The train of failure usually runs on the track of laziness."
"The only goal you can't accomplish is the one that you don't go after."
"The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little "extra."
