2006 AAA High School Travel Challenge More than just a geography contest, this scholarship program tests students' travel literacy by focusing on tourism destinations. Designed by travel industry educator Dr. Marc Mancini and sponsored by AAA preferred partners, the Challenge is a three stage competition with over $100,000 in college scholarship funds up for grabs. Ninth through 12th grade public, private and home-schooled students throughout the United States can put their travel knowledge to the test for great prizes and a chance to compete in the national finals in Orlando, FL **This contest is done on line and you must register to participate. The deadline for registration is JANUARY 17th. The on line competition will take place from JANUARY 9th - JANUARY 17th.

Angel Soft Angels in Action Award The Angel Soft Angels in Action Award is available to students who have performed an act of service and dedication to their community, a charity or cause. You must be at least eight years old but no more than eighteen years old by the deadline date to be eligible. Additionally, you must be nominated for this award. Awards are from $2500 - $20,000 and the DEADLINE is OCTOBER 1.

AXA Achievement Scholarship This scholarship is open to any high school senior who has demonstrated achievement and is determined to succeed. This scholarship in not based solely on academic ability, but on one's ability to succeed in life. Awards include 52 $10,000 (one for each state) awards, along with 10 national recipient scholarships for over $25,000 each. Applications can be completed online. DEADLINE: DECEMBER 15
Best Buy Scholarship The Best Buy Scholarship program rewards students with good grades who give back to their communities DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 15.
Coca-Cola Scholars Coca-Cola awards 250 high school seniors anywhere from $20,000 - $4000 for college. Apply online today! Recipients are well-rounded individuals with highly developed interests in their community. DEADLINE: OCTOBER 31
Discover Card Tribute Award Scholarship Any current high school junior who meets the following qualifications is eligible:Is enrolled in an accredited public or private high school in the United States Has at least 2.75 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale for the 9th and 10th grades Demonstrates accomplishments in Leadership and Community Service and has faced a significant roadblock or challenge. DEADLINE IS JANUARY 31.
Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards Students of Hispanic heritage are eligible to apply online for this award. Scholarships worth up to $8000 along with laptop computers and trips will be awarded. Deadline for applying is MARCH 14.
Horatio Alger Scholarship Open to all students in the class of 2009 who have a minimum GPA of 2.0, are US Citizens, have critical financial need (family income of less that $50,000), and intend to pursue a bachelor's degree from an accredited university. DEADLINE for making application is OCTOBER 30.

NFAA Art Awards for Young Artists This link provides information on several different awards for those students who are seniors in high school or between the ages of 17-18. Awards are given in the areas of performing, literary, and performing arts. Deadlines differ among disciplines. Please click on link for full details.
Outstanding Students of America $1000 scholarships available to high school seniors. Applications can be printed from web site. DEADLINE: OCTOBER 10.
Prudential Spirit of Community Awards This award will recognize middle and high school students who have demonstrated exemplary community service. Prizes range from certificates to monetary awards of up to $6000. DEADLINE: OCTOBER 31.
US Bank Scholarship This scholarship does not require any essays and there is no minimum GPA requirement. US Bank will give away up to 30 $1000 scholarships to seniors planning to attend 2 and 4 year universities. You can apply online anytime between October and February.
Wendy's High School Heisman Scholarship The Wendy's High School Heisman Scholarship. Both male and female seniors who excel in academics, athletics, and community/school involvement are encouraged to apply. Must be member of the class of 2009. DEADLINE: OCTOBER 1, 2008. $5-$50 WENDY'S GIFT CARDS AVAILABLE TO THE FIRST 41,000 APPLICANTS!!
