What is Writing Workshop?

Writing Workshop is a time for students to grow as writers. During this time, students are doing a number of important jobs. They may be studying a piece of writing, studying the author's style or craft. Or, they may be writing in their writing notebooks, conferencing with another student or me, drafting, revising, editing, or publishing a finished piece. All these tasks are essential for writing workshop.
