In our Media Center, we encourage reading in many ways. The Media Center is open for checking out books every school day. Classes come to hear stories and work on information skills each week. We have fun with books using puppets, readers' theater and acting out parts of the story. We work on learning about locating information in the Media Center using the Dewey Decimal System and the online catalog. We have a Book Fair every year and work with teachers on getting collections of books into their rooms when they are studying a certain subject or author.

Our Media Center is also the hub of the Accelerated Reader program. We have over 5,400 quizzes in our AR program. We are trying to purchase a quiz to go with most of the new books we get each year.
