All fourth graders will be participating in this year's Science Fair. Your student is required to participate in the fair with a small group or individually. They will need to complete the experiment and research outside of class, but we will be working on the display boards at school. (See your Science Fair manual for assistance.) :)

Time Line

January 7 . . . Pre-Registration Form is due.

January 17 . . . Turn in project idea. (What question do you want to answer.)

January 17-24 . . Conduct some initial research on the topic.

January 24. . . Turn in experiment idea. (How will you prove your hypothesis?)

January 24-Feb. 7 . . Gather materials, do experiment, collect and analyze data, gather more research to verify data, and develop a conclusion.

February 10 . . . Final Registration is due.

February 11 . . . Turn in your conclusion. (What happened?)

February 14-18 . . .Create your display board and report in class.

February 21-23 . . . Share project with the class.

February 23 . . .Set up projects in the cafeteria.

February 24 . . . Meet with the judges.
