Mrs. Sandy Mathews: I feel it is an honor and privilege to teach at Nappanee Elementary. I was a stay at home mother for many years. I finished my teaching degree at Indiana University at South Bend in 1996. I began teaching that same year. I taught first grade for two years, second grade for one year, fourth grade several years and have now chosen to teach third grade. I love the innocence of third graders and see the potential they have for expanding their learning. I completed my master's degree in 2001. I continue to take classes to keep my license current as well as to expand my own learning.
My husband and I live on a small farm in Milford. We enjoy spending time with our children and we love to spoil our grandchildren. I have always enjoyed children and I love watching them grow and learn. I feel I have the best job in the world! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to email me at smathews@wanee.org.

Mrs. Angie Swain:
Hello, my name is Angie Swain. It is my pleasure to teach in such an excellent school as Nappanee Elementary. I graduated with a bachelors and a master's degree from Ball State University and began teaching at Wa-Nee in 1984. I taught second grade for one year and then moved to third grade where I have taught ever since. I have also coached the boys' and girls' tennis teams at NorthWood High School for a total of 16 years.
I live in Nappanee with my husband, Andy, and our two children, Jaclyn and Preston. Both children are extremely active, participating in many school- related activities. This keeps me very busy traveling from one place to another. I enjoy sports of all kinds, reading, traveling, and being with family.
My goal each year is to reach the students' learning potential, academically and socially, so that they can achieve excellence. Throughout the past few years, I have attended workshops and classes dealing with individual learning styles and teaching the gifted student within the classroom. Along with staff and parental support, I hope to provide each child with a positive school experience. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to email me at aswain@wanee.org.
Mrs. Tina Yoder: If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to email me at tyoder@wanee.org.
