In order to be admitted into the HA program a child must show advanced potential in a specific academic field. Below you will find a list of minimum standards that a student must meet in order to receive services from the HA program.

1.Nonverbal IQ score of 120 or greater

2.Verbal IQ score of 120 or greater

3.Star Reading or Math score of at least 2 grade levels above

4.Dial score of at least 92 %

5.Positive parent recommendation

6.Positive teacher recommendation

7.SAGES-2 score of at least 92%

8.Portfolio pieces that show an outstanding talent in a given area.

Grades 2nd - 8th should exhibit at least 5 of the following characteristics to be considered.

1.Portfolio pieces that show an outstanding talent in a given area.

2.Verbal or Nonverbal IQ score of 120 or higher

3.Positive parent recommendation

4.Positive teacher recommendation

5.Grade Point Average of at least a 3.5 in the area of giftedness

6.SAGES-2 score of at least 92%

7.Math Comprehension score of at least the 92nd percentile or two grade levels above on the following test:

a.NWEA

8.Reading Comprehension score of at least the 92nd percentile or two grade levels above on the following test:

a.NWEA

Grades 9th - 12th should exhibit at least 4 of the following characteristics to be considered.

1.Verbal or Nonverbal IQ score of 120 or higher

2.Positive parent recommendation

3.Positive teacher recommendation

4.Grade Point Average of at least a 3.5 in the area of giftedness

5.Portfolio pieces that show an outstanding talent in a given area.
