The book talks about a family torn apart. Students will practice different reading strategies as we read the book. After four chapters of reading in class we will have a class discussion. After each four chapters students will participate in different activities. Some of those activities include creating posters, 2 class debates and participating in a mock trial. We will be putting King George III on trial. The activities we do in class are created to enhance the 8th grade social studies curriculum while practicing reading strategies.
