The Revolutionary War is here! We've learned reasons why colonists are fed up, and we are ready to see this small group of colonies take on the greatest empire in the world at the time. We'll be learning about the different battles and understand the significance it meant to the colonists. |
We will be starting this unit the week of Thanksgiving and finish just before Christmas break. We will be doing various activities in class. Our activities will include watching the muscial 1776 and dissecting the Declaration of Independence and rewriting it in our own words. We will also be having class discussions and be figuring out the differences and importance of the different battles. We'll be concluding our unit with a test, and watching a version of The Patriot (an edited version, parent permission slips to follow) |
