About the Teacher

My name is Mrs. Rinehart. I have been a teacher for 36 years, all of those years with Shelbyville Central. I have a bachelor's degree from Ball State University and a master's degree from Indiana University. I have taught grades 1, 2, 3, and 4. I was also Case Conference Coordinator for 4 years for the entire corporation, working very closely with teachers, parents, administrators, and special education personnel during that time. This year my class will be located in a new room in the fourth grade hall and no longer in the Science Lab. Now that room is a real SCIENCE LAB!

I live on a farm west of Shelbyville. I love history and when I am not teaching I enjoy working on my 140 year-old house, gardening,and spending time with my husband John. I'm looking forward to a great 2009-10 school year.
