MONEY When sending in money for your child, please place it in an envelope labeled with the following: Student name Grade Level Teacher’s name Purpose of the money Please make all attempts to send in exact change. When writing checks, book order checks should be written to Scholastic Book Club. Other checks may be written to the school unless otherwise indicated. Grading Scale Shelbyville Central Schools Grading Scale Beginning 2009-2010 A+ 99-100 A 93-98 A- 90-92 B+ 88-89 B 83-87 B- 80-82 C+ 78-79 C 73-77 C- 70-72 D+ 68-69 D 63-67 D- 60-62 F 59 & below I. Grading Scale (MANDATORY GRADING SCALE TO BE USED BY ALL TEACHERS OR ALL COURSES) II. Other Components: A. Regardless of how low a student’s failing grade (F) is at the nine weeks or semester, he/she will be assigned 50%. B. Fourth grade students will receive credit in Science and Social Studies first semester with letter grades second semester. C. Fifth grade students will be given grades in Science and Social Studies all year. D. Letter grades will be given the second semester of first grade. III. Teacher/Parent Communication A. Teachers are required to contact a parent if the student is failing a class. Transportation Changes Shelbyville Central Schools’ staff and transportation department are committed to safe transportation. Pick up and drop off points are determined by students’ home addresses. Transportation services are designed for consistent pick up and drop points five days a week. An alternate pick up or drop off point may be arranged to accommodate parents/guardians. To ensure that your child is transported to the correct alternative address or childcare provider, the following guidelines need to be followed. · Changes of transportation need to be made for the day/week by the Friday prior to the change. · Changes in transportation need to use the Change of Transportation Forms available in the school office or on school’s website. (Forms include Child’s full name, parent’s full name, teacher’s name, address of alternate pick up or drop off point) · Bus routes and schedules will not be altered to accommodate changes. · Phone changes will be limited to emergency only. |
