Programs

     
  • CLASSROOM GUIDANCE LESSONS: counselor teaches in each classroom on topics such as: conflict resolution, character, social skills, anti-drug information, any topic the teacher requests.  
  • SMALL GROUP INSTRUCTION: support groups meet on topics such as: divorce, grief, anger management, social skills, attendance, homework.  
  • INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS (ONE TO ONE): counselor will meet with students for a one to one session on any topic at the request of the administration, teacher, student, or parent. These sessions are usually held to 6 sessions maximum  
  • Afternoons R.O.C.K. = a free program for 5th graders providing homework assistance, snacks, games and activities. The program also informs children of the dangers of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and gambling within a fun, safe, activity filled atmosphere. This is an 8 week program.
