Guidelines and Behavior
Our Classroom Guidelines and Behavior Contract
Our Classroom has three lifelong guidelines that will be in effect at all times. Since these three guidelines are general rules, we will discuss each one thoroughly so that children are aware of my expectations. In our classroom you will see them as Class Agreements. Respect is to consider worthy of high regard. I PROMISE TO BE TRUE AND HONEST AT ALL TIMES AND AGREE TO: 1.RESPECT MYSELF - by always giving my personal best, staying on task, following directions, doing our best work that while being an Active Listener who listens with my whole body: eyes, ears, heart and mind so I learn the very most every minute of everyday. 2.RESPECT OTHERS-by raising my hand and keep my hands and feet to myself in addition to not using put downs name calling or doing anything hurtful to others 3.RESPECT MY SCHOOL-by taking care of my belongings, using my supplies correctly, and keeping my school clean.
What About Birthdays?
As a parent of a 7 year old, I UNDERSTAND BIRTHDAYS ARE VERY SPECIAL AND SHOULD BE RECOGNIZED. To make this an enjoyable experience, I do ask that you follow these guidelines: If you are planning a party for your child I ask that you do not send invitations to school UNLESS you have an invitation for every child in the classroom. This is obviously to prevent hurt feelings. If you need addresses of students I will work with you to get those to you. You may bring in store bought treats and drinks to share with the class. You are certainly not required to do this. I USUALLY HAVE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS AT THE END OF THE DAY AROUND 3:00 PM. Please feel free to talk with me about this if you have any questions.
